Adlie finally lost one of her top teeth the other night. It has been loose since about September- so we have been waiting for a long time. Adlie spent most of the day working on it- and two intense hours of wiggling that left it barely hanging. During this entire process, she was not enjoying the pain that a loose tooth can sometimes bring. This included many hours of wining and crying. I begged her to let me pull it out so she could go to bed- but she felt that she would not be able to survive the pain. During the midst of one of her "drama" sessions- she opened her mouth big enough for me to quickly go in for the kill. As soon as I yanked it out- she exclaimed, "Well that just didn't even hurt!". We love our little queen!

Ruthie Got Her Hair Did...

This is Ruthie the American Girl doll- she is best friends with Kit Kittredge. Laney received her as a gift from her loving Gigi this Christmas. Adlie received Kit. Today Laney decided that she wanted Ruthie to have the same cute bob hairstyle that Kit has......

Father & Daughter Dance

Adlie's daddy took her on a date night to her school's father and daughter dance. She was so excited to wear a beautiful dress and curl up her hair. I was a volunteer- and checked in all the girls as they arrived- so I was able to sneak a few pictures. They had actual ballroom lessons- (here they are doing the waltz). They danced a few times, but most of the evening she was running around with all of her girlfriends.

Colorado Day Five

We woke up early on our last full day to get some more skiing in. We took Adlie to the top and went down the green slope a few times. Adlie really did a great job skiing down with her daddy and riding the real ski lifts.

We had so much fun tubing the day before, that I set up another session so that Aunt Kat could do it with us. We were exhausted this time!

We packed up the rest of the afternoon and enjoyed a wonderful italian dinner at Paisanos. A snow front was supposed to be coming in that night, so we were prepared to wake up early the next morning so we could make it back to Denver to catch our flight.

What a wonderful trip we had. Memories that we will have forever! I am so thankful to Gigi for this opportunity. We love you. Happy 60th Birthday!

Colorado Day Four Continued

We went to Big Horn Steakhouse in the Keystone Lodge for our New Year's Eve dinner. They had this beautiful chocolate display in the lobby which was absolutely amazing. Everything, even the little village was made of chocolate!

After dinner, we took the younger girls to go ice skating. But this wasn't any normal ice skating, but on a completely frozen lake. It was a little weird to grasp at first- but the girls had so much fun, and could even see the firworks show while we skated!

They had these little walker things that smaller children could use to push themselves across the ice. Laney looked a little silly of coarse, but really started getting around with its help.

You could also use a sled or play hockey- such a fun place!

Colorado Day Four

The next morning was New Year's Eve, so we decided to take it pretty easy after 3 full days. We ate an early lunch before heading back up the mountain for our tubing session.

The tubing lanes. This really was the most fun! Just like a roller coast, but better. They asked if you would like to spin on your way down, and to my surprise, the girls asked for it every time. In fact, one time they forgot to spin me and Laney, and she cried the whole way down!

Colorado Day Three

We woke up early the next morning for our snowmobile expedition. We first had to drive 45 minutes up into the mountains. This is a view of the peaks from where we were.

We all got suited up and ready for a cold morning. Laney rode with Tres, and Adlie with me. We wound all the way up the side of a mountain, which was a little scarey at some points because you were literally on the edge. We then came upon a big open field that we were allowed to ride fast and freely for a long period of time. It was so much fun- even more so than a waverunner! Definately the most fun I had on the entire trip.

Colorado Day Two

I decided to take it easy with Capps on Monday, and took some pictures on our walk. Just gorgeous!

This is the River Run slope ( which was virtually straight down). To the left are the Gondolas that took you up to the top of Dercum Mountain, which is 11,600 miles above sea level. The air is so thin up there! It's just hard to walk.

My sister, Aunt Kat, came along with us to help watch Capps on most days. We debated on whether or not to bring him- and I basically decided I would miss him too much, especially since the whole family would be there. I didn't want to leave him out!

This is on our Dinner Sleigh Ride, which is the one event that I was looking forward to the most. We took a bus trip out to a valley where a horse-drawn sleigh was waiting for us. It wound us around for about 15 minutes before we were taken to a wonderful log cabin and fed a fabulous cowboy dinner with steak, mashed potatoes, buttermilk biscuits, and beef stew. It was so good!

During dinner, we had a great cowboy singer perform a lot of old country songs- which to my surprise, Tres knew all of them! Capps really enjoyed dancing while he ate his dinner.

Colorado Is Awesome!

We are back from an absolutely amazing family trip to Colorado! I have been to the state before and seen the rocky mountains, but never completely covered in snow. It was literally breathtaking- and I do mean that literally!!! (more to come on that)

Laney's first plane ride (Adlie went with me to Oklahoma when Kat graduated). She did a great job!

After landing in Denver, we were amazed at all the wildlife we saw right away. A bald eagle flew right over us, we saw elk eating on the side of the road, and mountain rams all along the rocky hills. It was amazing to see!
Although the skies in Denver were clear as can be, as we made our way up the mountain, we slowly drove right into a blizzard.
All of the kids were just ecstatic- the most snow any of us had ever seen!
Once we got checked in, we headed up to our condo which was on the 3rd floor of our building. It was all we could do to muster up enough strength to get all of our luggage inside and up the stairs. We were completely out of breath because of the altitude, and we would continue to be each time we tracked up those stairs for the remainder of the week! We were pathetic! Laney and I both had the altitude sickness hit us almost immediately after arriving- so we stayed in to rest while everyone went to dinner. Poor Laney was just exhausted!

This was the view from my balcony the next morning. They had gotten 4 inches of snow that first night we were there.

The girls and I were scheduled for ski school first thing, so I made sure everyone drank enough water. Laney however still couldn't keep it down- so she decided to stay down with Brooke while Adlie and I went on.

We were all ready to hop onto the gondola to go to school, when Adlie saw me and just started balling! I told her that she would do great at school and just to please try. Needless to say, out of 8 people that started ski school that day, she and Caroline were the only 2 to complete it. The bigger kids got sick, and us adults just were exhausted.

Going on a Trip....

We are so excited that Gigi is taking all of us on a skiing trip to Keystone Resort in Colorado! We have a jam packed week with ski school, dinner sleigh rides, tubing, ice skating...the works. Not to mention a first airplane ride for two of my kids! The bags are packed and we head out early in the morning- So excited!

Christmas Morning

American Girl stuff is all the girls wanted for Christmas this year. Santa did a great job of stocking a dresser full of items for the dolls.

I was paying so much attention to the girls, I didn't even notice Capps go and grab all of his goodies. He was so sweet carrying around his animals.

The girls got matching dresses for the dolls too! (and we've been wearing them ever since)

He was really digging in there!

Most of the other gifts from Mommy and Daddy consisted of things they would be needing for our ski trip. I was surprised that they were genuinely excited about each pair of gloves and sweater they got!

Gigi asked us to go to her church's Christmas Eve service this year. So we all decided to get dressed up for the event! Yes the girls wore these dresses the day before too- but absolutely insisted!

Christmas Vacation

Well, Christmas vacation started off with a crazy day. Tres scheduled his deviated septum surgery for the day the girls got out of school, so I had quite a day of juggling! He is fine and recovering nicely before our ski trip.

Bug Bug came in to help with the kids- And Adlie and I participated in our church's Christmas program. I was Mary, and she was an angel. It was a good time for us to spend together and she looked beautiful- I am sad to not have a picture!

We had planned going to Birmingham before Tres scheduled his surgery, so the kids and I went back with mom. Not long outside of Auburn, Laney got sick ALL in my mom's car, while Adlie slept away. We tried not to make a big deal out of it so she wouldn't feel bad- but it was AWFUL!!

We had plans to go to their church program the following night, but my grandfather, who has struggled with heart disease for years, has been struggling with his levels lately- so we decided to go and surprise them.

I am so glad we did- the girls just love their great-grandparents, and I am so thankful that they have been able to be a part of their lives. Please pray for my datdaddy- he needs strength and we are still praying for healing!

Woodruff Christmas

Gigi's company has been doing some pretty neat things for the Christmas season this year. We were able to have an early visit from Santa, ride the carousel, and see the beautiful Clydesdale horses. The horse process took about an hour just to get them hooked up to the wagon- and that was about all the attention span we had!
Earlier in the week, we went out to Mr. Otis' farm for the Woodruff Family Christmas service. The girls always enjoy being able to sing Christmas carols in front of everybody and hanging out with Laurie Clare and Liza.

Capps was so cute! While all the other kids were singing Rudolph, he sat down with his bells and started his own song- Itsy Bitsy Spider!

Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time

One of my personal favorite things about Christmas, is decorating! I tend to buy way too many decorations every year at the day after Christmas sales. But I love the smell of fresh greenery in the house, bright balls, and making paper garlands! The girls and I made a gingerbread forrest for the dining room, complete with snow and trees. We found these wonderful green fruits on a tree at the farm! I just love Christmas, but I also love taking it down the very next day!

Thanksgiving in Alabama

Laney's Pre-K class put on a cute Thanksgiving Program, singing some adorable songs. I decorated our door after the Turkey Pet!
We headed to Meme & Datdaddy's for Thanksgiving this year. As a child, it was always a treat and adventure to visit my grandparents- and now it is the same for my children. We had a blast!

We made a visit to the local nature history museum. Kat, Michael and me used to always go here every trip.

I have the same picture of me doing this when I was her age!

We also went out to the farm one day. Wish we could have stayed longer!! It's one of my favorite places in the world. I am so happy to share it with the kids!

We rode 4-wheelers, walked down by the creek, and rung the famous bell tower.

Butts Mill Farm

We've had a full week of Woodruff Company. We headed out to Butts Mill Farm for their company Fall Festival today. We haven't been out there in a few years, and there was tons more to do. We all had a great time- Tres and I even raced each other up this big spider web in the indoor playground. Adlie has always enjoyed horses, and that's the first thing she wanted to do. Laney did not, and Capps was off just as quick as he was on.

We always love it when we're able to play with our friends Liza and Laurie Clare. They all had so much fun- all three were asleep within 2 minutes of leaving!

Hello.....Kitty

We stopped by to say hey to Hello Kitty. She was supposed to be at the Landings as well, but was delayed in arrival. This was actually a big deal for our Laney, who has never really liked much of anything that is dressed up in costume. We had a lot of build of about meeting her, and Laney even brought her a pile of Hello Kitty colorings she made. Aren't they cute?

Little Sailor Boy

Capps had his last sitting for his one year panel the other day, and I had them change him into this little sailor suit for a couple of the shots. This was his daddy's, and Gigi has saved it all these 30+ years. I just love this blue velvet with his red hair.

The Lighting of the Landings

Well, we went back to the Landings for their annual Lighting of the Christmas decorations. The girls were so excited! Because Gigi is a VIP, they were able to be in the only group of children that got to ride with Santa in the carriage all around the center. When they were done, there was a news crew waiting to interview everyone! They had a blast. Capps was non-stop, just taking in all the people and decor! Even though Christmas is still weeks away, I am so excited for the season. Even one of our local radio stations begun playing only Christmas songs until it's over- that's about 8 weeks away- and just crazy!!

Santa's Special Visit

We are only in the first week of November, but were able to experience a very special visit from Santa. Gigi's company is hosting a big Christmas event at one of their shopping centers- and we were able to shoot for the samples packages that will be available for Santa pictures!

We had fun this year! Laney, Capps, and I dressed up for preschool.

I made Laney and Adlie's costumes-never again- and put together a little something for myself. I was a hit as Bon Qui Qui from King Burger. That evening we headed to a local church for their festival and then to a few homes for trick-or-treating. The result was a huge trash bag full of candy!

We had such a fun time celebrating Capps first birthday!

All of the family was able to come over and he was such an excited little boy. He especially enjoyed the cake,as expected, but it was so funny to watch him poke into all of the polka dots first.

He received a car that he can be pushed in, and that's exactly what we did up and down the neighborhood for the rest of the afternoon. He loved it!

What a blessing Capps has been to us this year. We pray for God to continue to bless his life, with good health, a sweet spirit, and a love for others and God. We love you sweet Boo boo!

Baby Boy Almost One

Capps will turn one this weekend. I am really trying not to be sad! I just can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. He has changed so much in the last month alone, that he really is turning into a little boy. We have been blessed by the fact that he is such a sweet child. I can't wait to see the changes that he will experience in the next year also. We love our sweet baby boy!

Pumpkin Patch

I went with Laney on her Pumpkin Patch field trip. This particular farm is always a fun place to visit. It includes a hayride, a hay maze, tubs full of corn, and lots of animals. We had alot of fun- but I think Laney was mostly proud of the fact that she was wearing overalls! When I washed them, she had left corn all in the pockets- and now a couple of days later, I am still finding them.

FIRE "Proof"

Well, my husband was "watching" Capps the other day, and told me that he had somehow gotten into the fireplace. I wasn't exactly sure to what extent he meant by "gotten into"- but I found him today- just sitting in there. Otherwise, there had been no sound made to make me think he was getting into anything. As I rounded the corner, he called to me, and I was so surprised- said, "Capps, no,no!" And he just balled! So now for those that I told the first story to, I now have a second including the proof with these pictures!

And I am not even kidding, as I am posting this, I heard a crash- he just toppled over one of my plants and is eating the soil! What am I going to do with this boy? Probably watching him better will help!

Columbus High 100 Year Football Celebration

Our High School Alma Matter celebrated a 100 year football rivalry this past weekend. It was made into a big alumni event, and since the girls had never been to a football game period, we decided to go. The girls especially had fun- watching the cheerleaders and rolling down the grass hills. Tres and I also were glad to run into some old friends!

One Stands Alone

Capps has been cruising along the furniture for many weeks now- but her surprised this week, at 10 1/2 months when he really started taking his first steps. He can completely stand on his own now too- so we are expecting big things any day now!

My mother, grandmother, and myself share birthdays within the same week. We usually try to get together to celebrate, but with school starting, we were just too busy. We did have some big milestones this year: My mother turned 50, ( I hope I look that good) My grandmother turned 70, and I turned 29, and plan on being that for atleast 5 more years!!!

School Time

We had one week to recoup from the beach before school started. Adlie is starting 1st Grade at a new school this year and is so excited about it- she just misses some of her old friends.

Laney began her last year of preschool and is sou proud of herself. I can't believe she will be in elementary school next year.

And not to leave Capps out, he will go to Mother's morning out two days a week. He is such an easy baby- loves school! He is also really close to walking. He takes off on this walker- and we will catch him just standing by himself at times. He'll definately be walking by his birthday- which by the way, is approaching way too soon!!

SeaGrove Beach 2008

Every summer, we spend an entire week at SeaGrove Beach with our Green family cousins. We always have tons of fun and relaxation- but with 7 children, it does get chaotic at times.

House for Sale

After the 4th, I drove to Birmingham to get the girls, and then to head an hour north to my family hometown of Courtland, Alabama. My cousin Justin was getting married- since I love to dabble in photography, they asked if I would shoot there wedding. I am posting some of my favorites- and was very pleased on how they turned out.

It was a small family wedding, but so sweet. He finally found such a precious lady and I pray for continual blessings for this new family.

***Oh, this church is the Courtland Presbyterian Church, founded before the Civil War- my grandparents and parents were all married here- so it is a special and historic place for our family.

The 4th of July

We shipped the girls off to Birmingham for the week, and enjoyed a nice 4th of July with Capps at the river. It was good to see the Green family, but without the girls, wasn't quite as fun.

We had a busy week. Both of the girls were in a local high school's cheerleading camp. They enjoyed it so much- learning cheers and dances. Adlie is super coordinated and watching Laney do the "disco" was so funny!

After camp, we headed to Atlanta for a GIRLS ONLY weekend! Gigi, Aunt Brooke and Caroline joined us. We spent the night at the Ritz on Peachtree, enjoyed some morning shopping at IKEA, and then headed to the American Girl Cafe and Store. This was a promise made to Adlie for her birthday, so her celebration has been drug out for about a month now. I bought matching dresses for girl and doll to make the occasion EXTRA special- and everybody commented on how adorable they were. It was such a neat place- all of the dolls were pampered with a new hair do and a new outfit. We then enjoyed a special meal at the Bistro- and Adlie blew out the candles to yet another cake- this time polka dotted! What a special time for me to spend with my girls. I will always remember it- and hope they will too!!

LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY!!!!

I began this blog with every intent on keeping it up weekly (or atleast monthly), but I haven't really done a great job in doing so. Thanks Kat for bringing it to my attention!!

Having three children isn't as hard as you may think, but unfortunately you hardly ever get a break and I am always on the go!! I will do my best to resume my blogging responsibilities: here is a recap of events since the birth of Capps.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas this year, celebrating the birth of baby Jesus, and the birth of our baby boy!!

A few days after Christmas, we were blessed to have a wonderful family vacation provided by GIGI back to Disney World for New Year's!! This was especially fun, now with 14 people in tow. Having the baby (10 wks old) there was not as hard as expected, except for a couple of days that turned brutally cold!! But good times were had by both the children, and adults! (especially our adult only dinner)

Capps has turned out to be the BEST baby ever! Some say it's because he's a boy, or that he is the 3rd child- because truely, he has to go where we go. I think we were just blessed!!! He is always happy, always smiling, and growing up before my eyes. He was between 3-4 months in this shot, eating cereal for the first time. Just love his cute face!!

Laney turned 4 and we had a Polka Dot Party at our church's indoor playground. Everyone needed to dress in dots, enjoyed pin the dot on the dalmation, make dot necklaces and ate the cutest polka dot cake ever! My baby girl is growing up and gets more prissy every day!

Happy 50th Birthday to my Dad! I always seemed to have the youngest & coolest dad around. With your birthday this year I not only realize that you're getting older, but so am I!!

To celebrate Dr Seuss's birthday, Adlie was to pick her favorite character and dress up for school. I let my creative juices run, and came up with this, using all the resources I had at home. This also included a sundae cup enclosed upside down in her hair! She was a hit!

Easter was busy for us! We had egg hunts, birthdays, and semi-cold weather. Look at my cute little bunnies!!

For Spring Break, we headed to Birmingham and Decatur to visit our Alabama families. We had a good time and took some great pictures!

Here are some other Spring Shots- including Adlie's first missing tooth...soon to be followed by the second the next week.

We made an early trip to the beach with GIGI for mother's day. It was nice to get away and not have any schedule! The kids had a blast, Capps enjoyed his first encounter with the pool, and slept in his tent on the beach for over 2 hours.

When we returned from the beach, we were back on a crazy schedule.We had only two weeks left of school, Adlie's birthday, and Capps baptism. Somewhere in the middle of this we also decided to put our house on the market, so some major projects have also been consuming our time.

Adlie celebrated turning 6 with an after school swim party including all 25 kindergardners. They enjoyed a special treat from the Ice Cream lady! But I am not sure that it all tasted as good as our homemade cake- yummy!!

We decided to do Capps infant baptism before the true dog days of summer began. We have a friend who let us use his beautiful property, which includes the sweetest little chapel. It was so wonderful to be with all of our family as we dedicated our precious son to the Lord.

Well, I am 3 hours into this "catch up" session. I will try my best to update weekly.

A New Baby Brother

We are so happy to finally welcome our new baby- Capps. Our family has definately been blessed with three healthy children- and we couldn't be more excited that we have a sweet baby boy. His sisters adore him! We can't wait to see the awesome things that God has planned for his life. Here are some pictures from his first days of life!

Busy October

The girls and I were in a friend's wedding this past weekend. I was a nine + month pregnant bridesmaid (FUN) and the girls were beautiful flower girls! We did have fun- and the girls both did a great job. Thankfully, Adlie had some petals left in her basket, so during the ceremony, Laney just sat down next to me on the floor and ripped them all in half!

I was on my feet for too long- and ended up going to the hospital later that night with false labor. I was sent home, but we now have an official induction date- October 18th. So we will get to meet our little brother/son very soon!

My "Baby" Starts Kindergarten!!

Last week was very sad for me as I watched my first born, baby girl begin Kindergarten. Where have the years gone already? She had a wonderful day, and acted like a big girl when I dropped her off. After school, she told me that I could just drop her off at the flagpole the next morning. What? They grow SO Fast!!

Summer Time

We have had such a busy summer. The months have been filled with dance and cheerleading camps, vacation bible schools, trips to Bug Bug and Big Daddy's and our most recent trip to the beach.

I can't believe that my first baby girl Adlie starts Kindergarden in a week. Although I am sure to have a rough week , she just can't wait and is so excited!! Especially about wearing a uniform!

Baby Brother

This news is a little bit late, but at the beginning of June, we found out that the girls will soon have a baby BROTHER!! We are very excited. Adlie has said for a while that she wanted a brother, but Laney was disappointed at first. She said, "But I wanted a Sister!". Now they are both very anxious as we await his arrival in October. Not much longer!!

50th Anniversary Celebration

This past weekend, we traveled to North Alabama to celebrate my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary! It was great to catch up with family that we usually get to see once a year. The girls also had a blast playing at our family farm house and land. I hope they will always have these memories!

Growing Up TOO Fast!!

Adlie turned 5 the day after the recital, so we had an extremely busy weekend! She wanted a "Girls Only" party and we had it on the river, at her Gigi's house.

Everyone had so much fun swimming, riding the boats, and making flip flops. I still just can't believe how fast she's grown!

Laney also had a blast, staying as far away from the river as possible!! Silly girl!

School's Out for Summer!!

We have had so many things going on since school got out a few weeks ago. We first had to prepare for the girl's Spring Dance Recital over Memorial Day weekend. Look at our beautiful ballerinas!

Spring Time

I am going to catch up on a few fun events over the last couple of months.

Laney turned 3 in February. Besides a family party, she invited a few close girl friends to Pigtails and Crewcuts for a princess dress up day. They were all so beautiful!

We took a little trip down to Seagrove with GiGi during early March. Although it was a little chilly, we had a great time. Here are the girls playing at Seaside.

We had a fun Spring Break the week before Easter! The girls enjoyed their school Easter egg hunts, a friends birthday party, and a trip to Big Daddy and Bug Bug's.

Well, I am back. Soon after posting my last blog- We did find out that I am expecting a baby. We are due October 23rd and the entire Green family is very excited! Statistics have not changed- Adlie would like a brother, and Laney a sister.

I have been overwhelmingly sick with this pregnancy, as I am entering my 13th week. Besides being sick all day long for many weeks, we recently took a trip to the E.R. so that I could be treated for dehydration. Hopefully with the end of my first trimester in sight, all of these other symptoms will subside and I can enjoy a nice & hot summer!!

New Addition

Well, Tres and I have gone back and forth over the last couple of years on whether or not we would have a third child. We actually haven't even talked about it in a while, but Tres initiated the idea again, and it looks like we will be adding to the family sometime during the next year.

We made the mistake of even mentioning it to the girls, who are just so excited. Adlie says that she wants a brother and Laney insists that she would like a brother and a sister. I promise that will not be the case, or atleast I hope!! But Adlie has been telling everyone her mommy is having another baby. And although I am not pregnant yet, I have already had many confusing congratulatory remarks!

We were talking "baby talk" again today, and I asked Laney what she would like the baby to be.

This time she said, "A Sister!"

I said, "Oh, well what do you think we should name her?"

Laney sweetly says, "I want to name her Darling."

She sounded so cute, but was very serious. She then went and told everyone else that she was having a sister named Darling. I guess we will have to take a vote!

Butterfly Wishes

Adlie had her friend from school, Alana, over to play this afternoon. In the car, all three of the girls were just joking around and telling stories. Laney leaned over, and out of no where said, "I have butterflies in my ears!". The other girls of coarse said, "No you don't!". Laney replied, "Yes I do, the doctor told me that I have butterflies in my ears and they are red!".

A few months ago, Laney had a doctor's visit. She really can not stand for anyone to look, clean, or touch her ears! The doctor had to come up with something exciting so that she could sneak a peak, and did tell Laney that she had butterflies in her ears and she needed to see how many. Laney was amazed by this, and reluctantly let her look in. The doctor said, "I see five butterflies in here. Can you tell me what color they are?". Laney said, "Uh-huh, they are Red!". So I do think that it is safe to say that Laney truely believes that they are in her ears!

Last night was Tres' 34th Birthday! Happy Birthday Daddy!

School Proofs

Today we finally received the girls' fall picture proofs. At first I laughed when I glanced at them, some of Laney's faces are priceless. Then I became sad, because they both look like little ladies- and are growing up too fast!! But I think everyone will have to agree that they definitely look like me.

Every Two Year Old Must Do It...???

At about 12 o'clock today, I could not find Laney. I was in a hurry to leave and pick up Adlie from school- but finally found her in her bedroom closet. She had gotten into an old bottle of diaper rash cream and put it all over her face, hands, and hair. It shocked me at first, because Laney really hasn't done many things like this. I was in too much of a hurry to take a snapshot, but I now wish that I would have, because.....

Here is a picture of Adlie at the same age, doing the very same thing!! I wish that I could have definitely compared the two.

Something cute that Laney said tonight- Well first let me explain the tone of voice that she uses when speaking. My dad always calls her a little pirate because she sounds like "hayyyyrr" when saying "hey" in addition to all of her other words, with a southern draw. I was putting her pj's on her tonight, and she felt her hair brush against her bare back. She said "Noni", (which is what she thinks mommy sounds like) "My herrr (hair) is getting very, very long- all da way down to da flerrr (floor)." Adlie chimed in "Yeah- just like Rapunzel!". Laney-"Uh huh!" She was very proud!

Another cute thing that Laney said- We were waiting in the lobby for Adlie's speech session, and Laney always plays with this toy clock. She brought it over to me and I said, "What does the clock say?"-She replied, "Tic Tac Toe!". Close enough!

The Beginning of Blog Life

I am very excited to be able to put in writing all of the wonderful things that my girls experience from day to day. I have had family members tell me for months "You better be writing things down, it will be so cute to remember one day!". So it is my resolution to begin now, and update as often as possible.

God has blessed me beyond my wildest dreams. I have a wonderful husband who is loving, hardworking, selfless, and a great father. I have two daughters who are more precious and beautiful that I could ever have imagined!

Adlie (4 1/2) has always had such a sweet and caring spirit. She's been growing up (too fast) into a beautiful young girl who loves Jesus! I couldn't be more proud of her. Laney (almost 3) is definitely a mama's girl! She loves me and I love her-she's my LANEY BUG! Her personality is completely opposite of her sister's, LOUD and FUNNY, but still so sweet, especially with her big sister!
